Chicken, Brown Rice & Peaches

When to Introduce: 4-6 months (always check with your pediatrician)

Ingredients:
1/2 cup boneless chicken 
1/4 cup cooked brown rice
1 cup chopped fresh peaches
~ 2 tbl water 
2 tsp wheat germ (omit for babies under 8-10 months of age)

Directions: Place chicken in cold water and bring to a boil. Cover, remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Remove chicken from water, cool and chop.  Cook the rice according to directions.  Add chicken, rice, peaches and wheat germ to blender.  Add liquid to reach desired consistency.

Servings: Fills about 2-3 Little Green Pouches

 

Stars: Peaches are high in Vitamins A and C and contain a good amount of fiber. Chicken is a lean source of protein.
