Stars: Pumpkins are jam-packed full of some of the best nutritional compounds around. They are high in Vitamin A and beta carotene and are also good sources of potassium, protein, and iron. Apples contain two types of fiber; insoluble fiber and soluble fiber. Both the insoluble fiber in apples and their soluble fiber pectin, help maintain bowel regularity.
Ingredients:
1 cup organic canned pumpkin
3 cups applesauce
cinnamon (to taste)
Directions:
- Mix 3 cups applesauce to 1 cup pumpkin puree. Add cinnamon to taste.
- This can be made in any quantity. Freeze any extra in Little Green Pouches or ice cube trays. When ready to use, put 3-4 frozen cubes into the reusable pouch and let thaw in the refrigerator.
Servings: Fills approximately 4-5 Pouches
